Google Docs and Microsoft 365 Online can open ODT files online, and you can edit them there as well. If youre using Google Docs to edit the ODT file, you can either upload the file to Google Drive through the New File upload menu, or select the file picker button on Google Docs.
Copy: Use Edit Copy or the keyboard shortcut Control+C or the Copy icon. Paste: Use Edit Paste or the keyboard shortcut Control+V or the Paste icon.
Sometimes you just want to paste as plain text. Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox all support Ctrl + Shift + V as a keyboard shortcut for paste as plain text. This means that Ctrl + Shift + V also works in browser-based apps, like Teams.
Use Ctrl + Alt + V (or Cmd + Alt + V on a Mac) to open the Paste Special window. Here, select Unformatted Text to paste in plain text. Finally, if youd like, you can set the default paste option in Word to always paste in plain text.
To copy a style, hold down the Control key and drag the name of the style from one list to the other. If you do not hold down the Control key when dragging, the style will be moved from one list to the other. The style will be deleted from the list you are dragging it from.
There is a keyboard shortcut for Paste Unformatted Text: Ctrl+Alt+Shift V. You can reassign that to some other key combination using the menu Tools - Customize - Keyboard.
Re: Default Paste CTRL+ALT+Shift+V is the keyboard shortcut for pasting unformatted text. You can see this, and change it to another key combination if you want to, using the menu Tools - Customize. On the Keyboard tab choose the category Edit and scroll through the Function list to Past Unformatted Text.
