Use the DAYS formula to calculate age. This function returns the number of days between two dates. To find someones age today: =DAYS(TODAY(),B2) Replace B2 with the cell containing the birth date.
The method of calculating age involves the comparison of a persons date of birth with the date on which the age needs to be calculated. The date of birth is subtracted from the given date, which gives the age of the person. Age = Given date - Date of birth.
The ID number column has the first 6 digits as the persons date of birth i.e. if the ID number is 920320 0003 084, the date of birth would be 20/03/1992 or 20 March, 1992.Calculate Date of Birth from ID number column in a SharePoint Labels: Creating Apps. Using Formulas.
Supposing the ID number is shown as 7908050074059, and the first two numbers indicate birth year, the third and fourth numbers are the birth day, and then the following two numbers are the birth month, you can use this formula: =MID(A2,5,2)/MID(A2,3,2)/MID(A2,1,2), press Enter key, and drag fill handle down to
=(TODAY()-B2)/365 In this formula, the first part (TODAY()-B2) usually calculates the difference between the current date and the birth date. The second part of the formula helps divide the difference by 365 to get the number of years (i.e., age in years).
