In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to use Word's built-in translation tool to convert text from a foreign language. As long as you have an internet connection, you can translate single words, phrases, or entire documents. While translations may not be perfect, they can help you understand the material. The example shown involves translating a Spanish document on Wi-Fi network security into English. To translate, navigate to the Review tab, click the Translate button, select the translation languages, and submit the document for translation. A confirmation dialog will inform you that the text will be sent online for translation, after which a new window will open with the translated content.

If you use a non-English work, cite the author, date, title and source of the work in the original language. You must include an English translation of the title in square brackets, directly after the title and before the full stop.
