Nineteen-year-old Taylor Smith was sentenced to two days in jail for pushing her friend Jordan Holgersson off a 60-foot bridge in Washington State, resulting in serious injuries. Despite both sides believing a plea deal would allow her to avoid jail time, the judge imposed the sentence after Taylor pled guilty to reckless endangerment. During the incident, which occurred last August, Jordan fell 60 feet and sustained six broken ribs and punctured lungs. At her sentencing, Taylor expressed remorse. The judge's ruling came as a surprise, as prosecutors had recommended no jail time. Jordan expressed her readiness to move on from the incident.
