It is a bdocHub of confidentiality. If the recipient of the letter is not informed that the student translated it, then that is (at the least) unethical.
This could be a teacher, a coach, a mentor, someone from your faith community, a boss, someone who you have volunteered with, etc. Pro Tip: Ask someone who has known you for a long time or who has seen you work hard at school, a job, or an extra-curricular activity.
Academic references should be permanent professors on the universitys faculty. Professional references are individuals you worked with (such as a former employer) who can write positively on your relevant work experience.
A letter of recommendation is stronger than a reference because the writer is actually recommending you for a job. A reference letter is more general in nature. Typically, it is not addressed to an individual. It is an overall assessment of the candidates characteristics, knowledge, and skills.
If you are writing a personal letter of reference, include a salutation (Dear Dr. Smith, Dear Mr. Jones, etc.). If you are writing a general reference letter, say To Whom it May Concern or simply dont include a salutation.
A letter of recommendation is a letter written on behalf of an applicant by someone who can vouch for that persons educational or professional performance. This letter is typically sent to an admissions officer or hiring manager considering a candidate for admission, employment, or a scholarship.
Hopefully, the distinction between professional and personal references is more obviousa professional reference will be able to talk about job skills and performance on the job. A personal reference will be able to talk about other qualities, like being a great coach of a youth football team.
Professional recommendations are used by applicants who have previous experience in a field related to the opportunity they are applying to. Professional recommendations provide evidence to hiring mangers regarding an applicants knowledge, work ethic, and performance in a previous experience.
