All parties must sign the agreement, with limited exceptions in situations where the assignor cannot be docHubed but where enough evidence exists that documents their intentions and rights. File the patent assignment with the USPTO within three months after the agreement is signed, paying the then-current fee.
To get a patent, an applicant for a provisional patent has the option to file a petition to convert his provisional patent to a nonprovisional patent or file a nonprovisional patent application claiming an earlier filed provisional patent application.
Clearly identify the patent being assigned: State the patent or patent application number, title, inventors, and filing date. Be signed by the assignors. Be docHubd: If notarization isnt possible, have one or two witnesses attest to the signatures.
A patent or patent application is asdocHub by an instrument in writing, and the assignment of the patent, or patent application, transfers to the assignee(s) an alienable (transferable) ownership interest in the patent or application.
Once youve located a patent that has expired, you can contact the patent owner and negotiate a sale. You can buy the invention and all rights to it, including the patent. You then renew the patent by paying the lapsed fees.

If an inventor is deceased or under legal incapacity, the legal representative of the inventor may make an application for patent on behalf of the inventor.
The only way to transfer the IP to the company is for the founder to sign and deliver an assignment of intellectual property rights to the company. This could be done at the founding of the new company by having the founder transfer ownership of the IP in exchange for her initial equity in the company.
