If the eviction is NOT for failure to pay rent, the landlord must give you 15 days notice if the lease is for 1 year or less, and 30 days notice if the lease is for more than 1 year. If the eviction is for nonpayment of rent, the landlord must give you 10 days notice.
Month-to-month means a renewable term of one month. The term month-to-month is normally used in the context of tenancies and it refers to a tenancy in which the tenant pays monthly rent and there is no fixed-term lease.
A month-to-month tenancy may be terminated by either the landlord or the tenant simply by giving written notice from one side to the other. Unless the rental agreement or lease provides for a different time period, the notice to terminate must be given to the landlord at least 30 days before the tenant moves out.
