how do you convert things in excel likes from minutes to hours or from kilograms to pounds well we use a very simple formula and its the convert formula and if we open up the brackets the number we want is the number that were trying to convert and but then it gives us a whole range of things that we can choose from so and it has to be in apostrophes so we want from minutes we want mn in apostrophes another comma and we want to change that to hr for hours and if we close the bracket then that gives us from minutes all the way into hours but what about kilograms to pounds well we use the same thing equals convert open up our bracket we select the number in kilograms and then we and then we want that to be an inverted commas and we want that from kilograms which is kg and we want that to change to pounds which is lbm and if we close off that bracket then that converts our kilograms into pounds a wonderful way for us to get around the different systems of measurement in excel automatic
