In this tutorial, you'll learn how to convert an incident into a service request. If a client mistakenly submits an incident via self-service instead of a service request, you can either delete the incident record or convert it on the backend. It’s noted that incidents and service requests are different types of records; you can convert incidents to service requests, but not the reverse. To perform the conversion, access the incident in the management console, select the appropriate service request definition, and click Save. A pop-up will appear for you to fill in the required information to complete the process.
