hello and in this video we are going to learn how to convert text to table in word and this is very useful when you have a list of ideas or action items that you want to convert into a table in order to add description or as an explanation to it so in the first example you can see here that i have a few bullet points that i want to convert to table and i want each bullet point to be at the beginning of each row so lets learn how to do it first lets select all the bullet points then go to insert go to table now go to the third option which is convert text table obviously we want the bullet to be on one column and then the explanation to be on another column but for the time being lets just select one column and ill tell you why in a second lets say if we put it into two columns lets see what happens and you can see that bullets one two three four i think into two columns and this is fine if what you really want to do is to put all the bullets and nothing else in the same table bu

Click on the Insert tab and choose SmartArt from the Illustrations group. Choose a SmartArt Graphic from the list and click OK.
To start a numbered list, type 1, a period (.), a space, and some text. Word will automatically start a numbered list for you. Type* and a space before your text, and Word will make a bulleted list. To complete your list, press Enter until the bullets or numbering switch off.
Simple steps to convert a list into a formatted Word table First, select the list. Click the Insert tab. Click the Table option in the Tables group. Choose Convert Text To Table from the dropdown list. Word does a good job of assuming the table setup based on the lists composition.
The layout for the SmartArt graphic controls whether there are bullets in the shape. If the layout does not have bullets, choose a different layout if you want bullets to display in your SmartArt graphic. It is not possible to change the bullet style for text in a SmartArt graphic.
Just select your text, select Home Convert to SmartArt, and then select the SmartArt you like. Some options also allow you to add pictures. Select Convert to Smart Art, More SmartArt Graphics, Picture, and then select the option you like.
Click on the layout tab Data group Convert to Text button (it is right on the end of the ribbon), From the displayed dialog, select Separate with paragraph marks option then click on OK.
