Hi everyone, Kevin here. Today I want to show you how you can convert a PDF file to an Excel spreadsheet. PDF is by far one of the most popular file types and you might have some data hidden away in a PDF that youd like to analyze in Microsoft Excel. Unfortunately, its not incredibly intuitive for how you could take data from a PDF and bring it into Microsoft Excel. It turns out its pretty easy to do, and Im going to show you step-by-step how you can get your data out of a PDF into an Excel file. All right, well why dont we jump on the PC and get started here? Here I am on my PC, and I have a PDF file sitting on my desktop and Id like to bring the data into Excel to analyze it. Lets take a quick look at whats in the PDF. I have the PDF file open and its a fairly typical PDF. I have an image at the top. I have some text below it, and then heres the portion of the PDF that I want to bring into Excel. Go to the Reports tab and open the report you want to export. Click the Edit drop-down menu on the right side of your Salesforce report and select Export. Select the format for export Salesforce report to Excel. Formatted Report is available for export only as XLSX Excel file.
USE THE TEXTIO PACKAGE TO REDIRECT THE REPORT FIELDS TO THE XL FILE. U HAVE TO OPEN THE FILE(WITH .XLS XTENSION) USING TEXTIO.FOPEN. THEN USE TEXTIO. AFTER FINISHING TEH REPORT, OPEN THE FILE U SPECIFIED IN TEXTIO. THIS WORKS FINE, CAUSE I AM USING THIS TO GENERATE XL OUTPUT.
You can export a list report as an Excel spreadsheet by right-clicking any column heading and selecting Export Excel. You can schedule a saved list report to export by clicking Schedule and specifying Type as Excel Spreadsheet.
How to Export a Report to Microsoft Excel From the Navigator menu, select Reports and Analytics. From the Contents pane, navigate to the analysis that you want to export. Click the analysis and select View. Once the analysis is displayed, click the Export link and select Excel.

In the File Format box, select the file format that you want.
Connecting Excel to Oracle with Get Transform (Power Query) Click the Data in Excel, then expand the Get Data drop-down list. In the From ODBC dialog, choose your data source name (DSN). If youre using a database username or password, select Database and enter your credentials in the dialox bog, then click Connect.
Click the Actions menu and select Download. The Download dialog displays. Choose report download format - Select CSV, HTML, Excel, or PDF.4.6. 15 Downloading a Report Enable Send as Email. Complete the fields for the recipients (To, Cc, Bcc, Subject, Body). Click Send.
