Radio buttons are used when there is a list of two or more options that are mutually exclusive and the user must select exactly one choice. In other words, clicking a non-selected radio button will deselect whatever other button was previously selected in the list.
How to insert Radio button in Word document Launch Word. Click the Developer tab. Click the Legacy button in the Controls group, then select the Radio button or Options button from the menu. The radio button is inserted into the document.
Radio buttons provide a list of options and allow the user to select only one. They are most useful for yes/no questions or to select a single preference from a list of choices. Once one of the radio buttons has been selected, it can only be unselected by selecting another radio button.
A radio group is defined by giving each of radio buttons in the group the same name . Once a radio group is established, selecting any radio button in that group automatically deselects any currently-selected radio button in the same group.

To create each radio button option, create a RadioButton in your layout. However, because radio buttons are mutually exclusive, you must group them together inside a RadioGroup . By grouping them together, the system ensures that only one radio button can be selected at a time.
To group radio buttons On the Properties sheet, under the tab Alphabetic, look for the row with the heading GroupName. Click the adjacent cell to enter a group name. Now you need to keep the same group name for the rest of the radio buttons, which you want to keep as one group. You are done.
Definition and Usage The defines a radio button. Radio buttons are normally presented in radio groups (a collection of radio buttons describing a set of related options). Only one radio button in a group can be selected at the same time.
