A navigation page is a special type of page that can be included on other pages to provide a consistent set of navigational elements. A typical navigation page might contain a logo, the page title, a login link, and a link to the home page.
By default, Word doesnt display them. To show the bookmarks in your document, follow these steps. Click File Options Advanced. Under Show document content select Show bookmarks and click OK.
Click File Options Customize Ribbon. In the list of tabs under Customize the Ribbon, select the Developer box and then click OK. Do one of the following: To add a control, click in the document where you want to add it, and then click the control you want to add on the Design tab.
To create a link to the bookmark (such as in a list or table of contents at the top of the document), highlight the text youd like it to link from and Hyperlink from the Insert tab. 5. Select Place in This Document from the left pane, expand Bookmarks to select the desired bookmark to link, and click OK.
You can also add hyperlinks that will take you to a bookmarked location in the same document. Select the text or object you want to use as a hyperlink. Right-click and then click Hyperlink . Under Link to, click Place in This Document. In the list, select the heading or bookmark that you want to link to. Click OK.
Select the text or picture that you want to display as a hyperlink. Press Ctrl+K. You can also right-click the text or picture and click Link on the shortcut menu. Under Link to, click Place in This Document.
Add a bookmark On your computer, open Chrome. Go to the site you want to visit again in the future. To the right of the address bar, click Star .
Page Navigation is easier to manage but only limited to navigating the pages in Power BI Report. On the other hand Bookmarks can offer different set of advantages like hiding specific visual, defining different layouts for same page.
How it works To insert a bookmark, select any word or text string, picture, or item in your document you want to be able to refer to later, and then select Insert Link Bookmarks New Bookmark. To show bookmark annotations in your document, select Links Bookmarks, and then select the Show on document checkbox.
To add a Bookmark control to a document from the Toolbox Open the Toolbox and click the Word Controls tab. Drag a Bookmark control to the document. The Add Bookmark dialog box appears. Select the text or other items you want to include in the bookmark. Click OK.
