Select the smaller text layer. Click the Layer Mask icon (third from the left at the bottom of the Layers panel) to mask out the rest of the text. Hide the visibility of the text from Step 2 or delete that layer unless you want to keep it to change its color.
Navigate to the Layers Panel on the right side of the screen, then right-click on the image layer. From the menu that appears, select Create Clipping Mask to apply the text masking effect. Once the process is complete, the text will be filled with the inserted image.
For a concealing mask, Alt-click (PC) or Option-click (Mac) the Add Layer Mask button. Adjust it: In the Channels panel, double-click your mask to adjust its edges and opacity. Or right-click the layer mask thumbnail.
