[Applause] this typeface tried to make connection picking a script font always check the connection because you want this to be a seamless word thatamp;#39;s connected with one letter to the other and to achieve that always look at the lowercase r combine this with other letters at the beginning and at the end and in this case it doesnamp;#39;t work that well it destroys the illusion of being a script typeface and a connected one but in the case of PF science script it works perfectly connecting each letter to the next one so next time you want to go for the scripts that I always pick a typeface that doesnamp;#39;t walk away from a connection connect from silly

An ascender is an upward part of a letterform (often a vertical stroke) that extends above the x-height and usually above the cap height, such as the stem of a lowercase b or d. A descender goes the other way: Its a downward vertical stroke that extends below the baseline, such as the stem of a lowercase g or p.
In most fonts, descenders are reserved for lowercase characters such as g, j, q, p, y, and sometimes f. Some fonts, however, also use descenders for some numerals (typically 3, 4, 5, 7, and 9). Such numerals are called old-style numerals.

The words typeface and font are typically thought of as synonymous, but they actually refer to different things. While a typeface describes a particular style of lettering, a font refers to variations of a typeface, like its size and weight.
Remember that long ascenders and descenders are factored into the font size. Consider the x-height, or body height, of the handwriting. Most handwriting has a body height that is between 1/8 inch and 1/4 inch tall, so any ascenders and descenders extend beyond that, and add to the total size.
Hobo is a sans-serif typeface. It is unique for having virtually no straight lines or descenders. It was created by Morris Fuller Benton and issued by American Type Founders in 1910.
These little tails are called serifs. The serifs make it easier for our eyes to flow through horizontal reading quickly, such as how we do while reading a book. Serif is heavily used for the body of the text.
