Remove Tracked Changes manually or selectively Click the Review tab on the Ribbon. Click the down arrow on Track Changes Track Changes to turn it on or off.
Anonymizing a Word document In the tabs at the top of the document window (Home, Insert, etc.), click Review - Protect - Protect Document. Check the box for: Remove personal information from this file on save Save the document.
The good thing about Track Changes is that it records every edit without making anything permanent. You can move, copy, delete and insert text, change formatting, even change pictures and insert objects. And the person who sent you the document can see the changes you made and decide whether to accept or reject them.
To make sure that everyones changes get tracked, you can lock tracking so that it cant be disabled without a password. Click the Track Changes buttons list arrow. Select Lock Tracking. Enter and confirm a password. Click OK.
Start by clicking on the Review tab and going to the Tracking section. You can then select Track Changes and set it to Off. Even though you turned off track changes, the edits and comments still remain in your document. These changes will stay in your document until you delete them or accept them.
How do I make a clean copy of a Word document after track changes? You will need to save your document with all the changes accepted, you can choose to add the word clean to the file name to indicate that this copy has all of the tracked changes and comments removed.
Go to Review Track Changes. In the Track Changes drop-down list, select Off.
Click the Review tab on the Ribbon. Click the down arrow on Track Changes Track Changes to turn it on or off. Track Changes: On or Track Changes: Off will display on the status bar (bottom bar in the document.)
