o highlight with the keyboard, move to the starting location using the arrow keys. Then, hold down Shift , and press the arrow key in the direction you want to highlight. Once everything you want is highlighted, let go of Shift .
To hide the formatting marks again, click on View Invisibles.
To highlight a characters lines, touch the Tools icon at the upper right and then touch Character Highlighting: Touch a character whose dialogue you want to highlight and touch the I icon at the right to select a color: Touch the script to clear the Character Highlighting window away.
NOTE: Revised text is initially set to black, but can be changed to colored text under Production Revisions (Mac) or Production Revisions Setup (Windows).
Highlight one piece of text Select the text that you want to highlight. On the Home tab, select the arrow next to Text Highlight Color. . Choose a color. The text you selected will be highlighted in the color you chose.
Place your cursor in the Scene Heading of the scene you want to omit; Go to Production Omit Scene. This will replace the Scene Heading information with Omitted. Click on the right-pointing arrow to either view or unomit the scene.
Highlight selected text Select the text that you want to highlight. Go to Home and select the arrow next to Text Highlight Color. Select the color that you want. Note: Use a light highlight color if you plan to print the document by using a monochrome palette or printer.
Final Draft Go gives you the ability to color all of the dialogue for one or more characters. To highlight a characters lines, touch the Tools icon at the upper right and then select Character Highlighting from the menu. Touch the script to clear the Character Highlighting window away.
