hi Iamp;#39;m Jessica an e-learning specialist and Iamp;#39;m here to show you how to use sequential tagging in Excel so I have some data here and I would like to set it up so that it will sort sequentially so what Iamp;#39;m going to do is insert a new column and just for labeling purposes Iamp;#39;ll call it sequential and Iamp;#39;ll start by giving this first one the number one and then I can drag and if I click control youamp;#39;ll see it automatically fills in 1 2 3 4 5 six will it do it if you skip some numbers of course it will so Iamp;#39;m going to undo and Iamp;#39;m going to say that I want to skip every three three numbers so itamp;#39;ll be one four and now if I highlight two of them and this time without holding down control I pull them down and and there you have it itamp;#39;s counting by three numbers so there you have it a great way to add sequential data so you can sort easier in Excel thanks for watching and I hope this helps

You can check or uncheck the ones you want to use. You can also get more Smart Tags from the Microsoft Office website if you click More Smart Tags.
Select the cells you want to lock. On the Home tab, in the Alignment group, select the small arrow to open the Format Cells popup window. On the Protection tab, select the Locked check box, and then select OK to close the popup.
Click the field where you want to add the input mask. Under Field Properties, on the General tab, click the Input Mask property box. to start the Input Mask Wizard. In the Input Mask list, select the type of mask that you want to add.
