so guys you can see that there was previous carpet on the floor um thereamp;#39;s a lot of areas where thereamp;#39;s little chunks of paint drywall thatamp;#39;s all going to come out Iamp;#39;m not really concerned with that what I am concerned with is any dark areas in the floor that might not sand out so once we do our sanding process weamp;#39;ll be able to see what is going to come out any damage that doesnamp;#39;t come out is going to want to get um patched and that will completely hide any damage or if youamp;#39;re trying to save a little bit of money what you can do is stain the floor and try to minimize the contrast between the wood and the stains in the floor for our first pass weamp;#39;re going to use a very aggressive ceramic 36 grit so we did the little test pass and it looks like these stains are not going to come out uh because there was a carpet over it it looks like somebody used carpet cleaner frequently and it bleach the floor a little bit in some

Here are some methods you might want to try: Vinegar and Olive Oil Mix. This is a classic DIY solution. Baking Soda Paste. If the stain is water-based, a baking soda paste can be effective. Commercial Wood Cleaners. Toothpaste Scrub. Mayonnaise. Steel Wool and Lemon Oil.
On most raw woods, start sanding in the direction of the grain using a #120-150 grit paper before staining and work up to #220 grit paper. Soft woods such as pine and alder: start with #120 and finish with no finer than #220 (for water base stains) and 180 grit for oil base stains.
Hide the stain with embroidery, a sew-on patch, or buttons. Use your embroidery skills: Stitch an abstract design or flower to cover a stain. Sew-on a patch: Colorful patches are sold online and in craft stores. Add buttons: Create a design with buttons, beads, or sequins to hide the stain.
Three methods: varnish, oil and wax that will protect your furniture and that you can easily apply at home. The choice between varnish, oil and wax will depend on your personal preferences, the look you want for your furniture and the level of protection you need.
Fully clean the wood with biocidal cleaner and apply an undercoat wood preservative to protect against woodworm and rot. If youd like to give your outdoor wood a new look, stain the wood to a vivid colour or subtle tint. Finishes seal the wood from moisture, rain and (with some finishes) UV radiation.
Varnish. Varnish also has many options, including marine varnish which is resistant to UV damage and spar varnish which blocks water stains wonderfully. The finish of a coat of varnish is like a hard scratch-resistant shell that wont yellow over time.
Oil-based polyurethane sealers are popular choices due to their resilience. This makes them perfect for high-traffic areas or surfaces that are often exposed to moisture and usage. If youre considering using polyurethane on your natural wood projects, take a look at something like Polyurethane Ultra Flat.
Mix equal parts white vinegar and olive oil in a bowl and saturate the wood stain using a paper towel. Let the solution sit for an hour to release trapped moisture in the pores. Wipe off the residue with a soft cloth and buff the wood until the stained area blends in with the natural wood grain.
