thank you for choosing dry treat stain proof plus super impregnating sealer although our sealer is very easy to apply we would like to take a few minutes to show you how to seal your surface correctly first itamp;#39;s important to have the right tools when applying any of our products always protect yourself with a pair of safety glasses a mask and a pair of nitrile gloves to apply the sealer you need some shop towels a moisture meter a lambswool applicator some acetone and optionally a low pressure sprayer for porous material or cladding do not try to apply sealer with a rag a sponge or paper towels all of these products are for absorbing material not applying it step 1 surface cleaning before you apply the sealer it is crucial that the surface is clean dry and free of stains the way your surface looks when you seal it is the way it will look when you are finished if there are visible stains on the countertop you can use dry treat product to clean the surface before sealing

There are several ways to deal with this problem and youll need to do some practicing to get it right. I usually use a pre-stain conditioner to allow the end grain to partially seal before applying color. Ive heard of others who use washcoats and others who sand the end grain to finer grits.
Here are nine ways to prevent pit stains: Wear a sweat proof undershirt. Apply less deodorant. Re-evaluate your antiperspirant. Trim or shave armpit hair. Take sweat-reducing supplements. Assess your diet. Launder shirts right away. Wear loose-fitting shirts.
It is vital to treat all cut ends with an end grain sealer to prevent moisture ingress into treated timber members. All factory treated SiOO:X timber will be treated on the surface and on the edges. Any end cuts in cladding boards, deck boards and other trim need to be sealed at installation.
Simply pre-seal the end grain. A light coat of a 2lb cut of shellac will work great for this. You can also use a solution of glue size. Glue size is basically a solution of PVA glue and water (dilute the glue by about 90%).
To create a barrier that stops the water stain from showing through, youll need to use either a stain-blocking primer or an oil-based paint first. After that, you can apply an emulsion paint if necessary.
You can seal the end grain with any paint or clear, I would use a paint personally, just so its easier to see. Latex paint, or wax.
Sprinkle pumice (use the finest grade, 4F) over the surface and work it into the grain with a cotton cloth, using a circular motion. Use roughly a teaspoon of pumice for every square foot of surface. Add more oil if the mixture appears chalky.
Add Embroidery, Patch, or Buttons Be sure to use color-fast embroidery floss that can be washed the same way as the base fabric. Sew-on a patch: Colorful patches are sold online and in craft stores. Choose one large enough to cover the stain or add several to create a new look.
