Begin by entering full-screen mode using the keyboard shortcut Control + Command + F. Once in full-screen mode, press F3 to invoke Mission Control. Drag another app onto the app you currently have in full screen within Mission Control. Click into the newly tiled apps, and you will be in Split View.
Many apps on your Mac support Split View, which lets you work in two apps side by side at the same time. On your Mac, move the pointer to the green button in the top-left corner of the window, then choose Tile Window to Left of Screen or Tile Window to Right of Screen from the menu that appears.
You can hide the sidebar, if you want more space for your spreadsheet in the Numbers window. You can also make the sidebar appear when its hidden. Hide the sidebar: Choose View Inspector Hide Inspector (from the View menu at the top of your screen, not in the toolbar).
On your Mac, click the Finder icon in the Dock to open a Finder window. Do any of the following: Hide or show the sidebar: Choose View Hide Sidebar, or View Show Sidebar, in the menu bar.
First, make sure youre not currently in fullscreen mode. The split screen only works from the normal window view. If thats not the issue, go to System Preferences Desktop Dock and scroll to the bottom to see whether Displays have separate Spaces enabled. If not, enable it.
If youre using a Mac, open System Preferences Displays Arrangement from there you can click and drag the screens to position them as you wish.
Again, click the Apple menu at the top left of the screen, then go to System Preferences and Mission Control. Then, uncheck the box next to Displays have separate Spaces. This will disable Split View, so you can use your device in full-screen or normal mode.
