What is the admin override?

Admin override for an ACL exempts anyone with the admin role from any restrictions of that ACL.

What is administrative override?

The administrative overrride option allows someone with suitable privileges to change their permissions without approval.

What are the different types of ACL in ServiceNow?

What is the difference between table none and table * acl?

For table. none means that you are applying the ACL at the table level. For table. *, means that you are applying this for all rows/fields on that table which dont have their own specific table.

What will happen if we give none * in ACL?

The Name field in an Access Control specifies the table records and a field to protect. The field list has a --None-- option and a * option. --None--: Grant access to records and all fields in the records. *: Grant access to all fields where there is no field-specific Access Control.

What is admin override in ACL?

This option permits users with the admin role to automatically pass the permissions check for this ACL rule regardless of what script or role restrictions apply. However, the nobody role takes precedence over the Admin Overrides option.

Does ACL override permissions?

Note that default ACLs do not alter the permissions for any currently existing files; they only apply to files created after the default ACL is set.
