Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Edit at the top of your screen to expand the ribbon. On the Home tab, scroll down and select Sensitivity. Choose the sensitivity label that applies to your file. Learn more if your organization has configured a website to explain more about their sensitivity labels.
Unlock a protected document On the Review tab, in the Protect group, click Restrict Editing. In the Restrict Editing task pane, click Stop Protection.
For example, click Edit in Microsoft Office Word. In the document, workbook, or presentation, right-click the label, and then click Lock Label on the shortcut menu. Notes: If the label appears in the document header, you must first right-click the label, and then click Edit Header on the shortcut menu.
Place your cursor in the location in the document where you want to insert the label. On the Insert tab, in the Barcode group, click Label. Note: The Label command appears on the Insert tab only if a label policy is in effect for a server document. Click Save to save your changes.
On the Design tab, select Watermark. Choose a pre-configured watermark, like DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, or DO NOT COPY.
To Remove a Label from a File Right-click the file and click Classify and protect from the drop-down. Click Delete Label. In the window that appears, choose the appropriate reason for why you are removing the label. Type any extra information into the text box as appropriate.
Clearly label all confidential information as confidential. This means writing confidential on documents or any folder you keep them in. If you are sending an email, make sure the title clearly identifies it as confidential.
Removing a Sensitivity Label Open the document. Across the top of the document a banner will appear similar to the following: Click Change Permission. De-select Restrict permission to this document.
