did you know you can make invisible ink using a highlighter and a lemon start by mechanically separating the ink reservoir from the highlighter now that thatamp;#39;s done we can add water to extract the ink which ended up taking a few minutes but it was cool to watch under the blacklight to make it invisible we react it with some lemon juice which converts the dye molecules in the ink from a color to a colorless form to make the ink reappear wet the paper with a solution of sodium carbonate this reaction is especially cool under a black light and is perfect for Halloween because the fluorescence changes too
