To hide formulas: Select the cells for which you to want to hide the formulas. Right-click the cell (or cells) and choose Format Cells. In the Format Cells dialog box, click the Protection tab. Check the Hidden box. Note: Hidden is what prevents the user from seeing the formula. Click OK.
How to remove a formula in Excel Find the cell or cells containing the formula. Select all cells in a range that contains the formula. Find Current Array Delete the formula. Copy the cells. Use Paste Special features. Select cells. Select the portion of the formula to remove. Change selected part of formula to a value.
Tip: When you are editing a cell that contains a formula, you can press F9 to permanently replace the formula with its calculated value.
Press the F4 key on your keyboard. This will toggle between different reference styles, such as relative references (A1), absolute references with a dollar sign before the column and row ($A$1), and mixed references with either the column or the row locked ($A1 or A$1). Press Enter to lock the formula reference.
Locking formulas and preventing accidental changes Select the cells that contain the formulas you want to lock. Right-click on the selected cells and choose Format Cells from the menu. In the Format Cells dialog box, select the Protection tab. Check the box next to Hidden and Locked to lock and hide the formulas.
Prevent a formula from displaying in the formula bar Select the range of cells whose formulas you want to hide. Select Home Format Format Cells. On the Protection tab, select the Hidden check box. Select OK. Select Review Protect Sheet.
Converting formulas to values using Excel shortcuts Select all the cells with formulas that you want to convert. Press Ctrl + C or Ctrl + Ins to copy formulas and their results to clipboard. Press Shift + F10 and then V to paste only values back to Excel cells.
How to hide formulas in Excel Select a cell or range of cells containing the formulas you want to hide. Open the Format Cells dialog by doing any of the following: In the Format Cells dialog box, switch to the Protection tab, and select the Hidden checkbox. Click the OK button.
