Open the Excel 2010 spreadsheet for which you need to learn how to exit the header and footer view. Click on the View tab given at the top of the window. Now, click on the Normal button given in the Workbook Views area at the top of the window.
Click anywhere in the table. Go to the Table tab on the Ribbon. In the Table Style Options group, select the Header Row check box to hide or display the table headers. If you rename the header rows and then turn off the header row, the original values you input will be retained if you turn the header row back on.
You can easily enter Page Layout View by clicking the small button at the bottom right corner. A single click will switch to this view. To exit, just click the Normal View button next to Page Layout View in Excel.
Go to Insert Header Footer. On the top right side of the document, select Options Remove Headers Footers.
Double-click the header or footer area (near the top or bottom of the page) to open the Header Footer tab. Select Link to Previous to turn off the link between the sections. Select Header or Footer and do one of the following: Choose Remove Header or Remove Footer near the bottom of the menu.
Go to Insert Header Footer. Excel displays the worksheet in Page Layout view. Select the left, center, or right header or footer text box at the top or the bottom of the worksheet page. Tip: Selecting any text box selects the header or footer and displays the Header and Footer Tools, adding the Design tab.
To return to Normal view after you finish working with the page breaks, on the View tab, in the Workbook Views group, click Normal. You can also click Normal on the status bar.
Double-click inside the header or footer area. Select the text you want to change and type your new header or footer in its place. Select Close Header and Footer or double-click anywhere outside of the header or footer area to exit.
