In todayamp;#39;s video, Iamp;#39;m going to show you how you can add a header and footer to your worksheets. For example, letamp;#39;s say you want to add in your company logo to the header of each printed page, or you want to add in page numbers to the footer of your printed pages or to your pdf documents and also how you can tweak the logo or the picture to make sure it fits properly inside your header. One question I get often is how to apply the same header that you take the time and you create it for one of the tabs, so how can you apply that to other tabs at the same time? Setting Different Headers and Footers in MS Excel Click page Layout Print Titles Header/Footer. Check Different Odd and Even Pages or Different fir page. Enter different headers and footers.
Edit your existing headers and footers Double-click the header or footer you want to edit, or select Header or Footer, and then select Edit Header or Edit Footer. Add or change text for the header or footer or do any of the following: When youre done, select Close Header and Footer or press Esc.
Remove headers or footers Go to Insert Header Footer. Excel displays the worksheet in Page Layout view. Select the left, center, or right header or the footer text box at the top or the bottom of the worksheet page. Press Delete or Backspace.
Adjust the Header and Footer Height Click the Page Layout tab. Click the Margins button. Select Custom Margins. Enter a new height for the header or footer.
On the status bar, click the Page Layout View button. Select the header or footer text you want to change. On the Home tab in the Font group, set the formatting options that you want to apply to the header / footer. When youre done, click the Normal view button on the status bar.
Note: While Excel doesnt have a specific feature to lock only the header and footer, sheet protection is the most effective way to prevent changes to these areas.
On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Header Footer. This will display the worksheet in Page Layout view and get the Design tab to appear. On the Design tab, in the Header Footer group, click the Header or Footer button, and select the built-in header or footer of your choosing.
