What is the difference between * and none in ACL?

--None--: Grant access to records and all fields in the records. *: Grant access to all fields where there is no field-specific Access Control.

What is the rule number * in ACL?

If the ACL does not contain any rule, the first rule is numbered 0. Whenever the step changes, the rules are renumbered, starting from 0. For example, if there are five rules numbered 5, 10, 13, 15, and 20, changing the step from 5 to 2 causes the rules to be renumbered 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8.

What does * mean in ACL ServiceNow?

* in ACL Means all the table and all fields. You applied ACL in all tables and all the fields in these tables. Table. * is a field level ACL which gives Access to all field on that table.

What is the difference between ACL * and ACL none?
