Take a small amount of spackling compound or lightweight joint compound on the putty knife and apply it to the dent. Use the knife to spread the compound evenly, filling the dent completely. Remove any excess compound, leaving a smooth surface. Allow the compound to dry ing to the manufacturers instructions.
As mentioned above for small dents, you can try using hot water or a hairdryer to heat the area around the dent. Gradually heat the dent for a few minutes, then quickly cool it with cold water or compressed air. The sudden change in temperature can help the metal expand and contract, reducing the dent.
Grab a plunger For any small to medium-sized round dents, a cup plunger can be your best friend. Pour out plenty of water on both the car and the plunger to help get a good seal going. From there, place the plunger over the dent and continue to push and pull until you hear or feel it pop out.
Hair Dryer and Compressed Air: The rapid change in temperature from hot to cold should cause the metal to contract and the dent to pop outwards. Use a clean cloth to wipe away any excess moisture or residue from the compressed air.

And finally you sand it down so its smooth. And even with the rest of the panel.
Hot water technique If you boil water and pour it over the damaged area, the heat will cause the metal to expand. This will make it easier for you to push and pull on the metal and may help you pop it back into its original place. Ideally, you should be able to somehow access the backside of the dent to push it out.
Pick up a tub of drywall mud and grab a putty knife from the hardware store. Scoop up a small glob of drywall mud, then use your putty knife to spread it over the dent. You dont need a ton of drywall mudjust add a thin layer to cover the dent completely.
Dont repair a dented door with spackling paste or wood putty; neither compound bonds very well to metal. Instead, use an auto-body filler, which is specifically formulated for adhering to metal surfaces. This type of filler also dries rock hard so it sands smooth and flat, and it produces a perfect surface for paint.
