Protect a sheet Select Review Manage Protection. To turn on protection, in the Manage Protection task pane, select Protect sheet. By default, the entire sheet is locked and protected. Optionally, to require a password to edit a range, select Range password, enter and confirm the password, and then select Save.
To protect individual tabs, navigate to the sheet you wish to secure, right-click on the tab, and select Protect sheet. From there, the owner can set permissions, choosing to restrict editing to certain users or email addresses.
Right-click your mouse on the sheet tab you want to lock and click Protect sheet. Then select the Sheet tab in the Protected sheets and ranges side pane. Enter a description in the designated field and select the sheet you want to protect.
To unhide a sheet: In the bottom left, tap the Menu. Tap the name of the sheet you no longer want hidden. Your sheet will appear at the bottom of your spreadsheet.
To fully hide Google Sheets from other users, you will need to protect them. 1. Right-click on the tab name and select Protect sheet.
Desktop or laptop method Open the sheet you want to edit. Select the cells you want to freeze. Click the View tab, which populates a drop-down menu. Hover over or click the Freeze option, which populates an additional menu.
To insert the current date into a cell in Google Sheets, users can use the shortcut keys Ctrl + ; on Windows or Cmd + ;on Mac. This will automatically insert the current date into the selected cell. Users can also use the Ctrl + Shift + ; or Cmd + Shift + ; shortcuts to insert the current time.
