- Hello everyone. Iamp;#39;d like to show you the latest in our Fiber Optics line of products: the FDX 20 splice box. These splice boxes are designed with cross-selling in mind. The FDX20 is ideally suited to be installed alongside Phoenix Contactamp;#39;s family of media converters and fiber optic switches. Target markets for the FDX20 include energy generation and transmission, water/wastewater facilities, and traffic control technology, to name a few. The splice box is used in a control cabinet or room. The main purpose is to protect the long fiber optic cable runs. One of the major issues in drawing from a cross draw holster is that it means you will be drawing the gun in a fairly wide arc. That arc begins, possibly, with first sweeping your non-dominant arm. Then you might well sweep several bystanders before coming to your target.
Lets start with the basics. An IWB holster is designed to be worn inside your pants, providing a discreet and concealed option.
Carrying your gun inside the waistband is one of the most popular methods for concealed carry. It allows you to have a good grip on your gun and keep it hidden from view.
The cross draw, worn on the left or weak side was popular with men who spent a lot of time sitting at a poker table or on horseback because for both it was easier to pull it didnt get in the way of doing your job.
With practice, the cavalry draw can be as fast or even faster than drawing from a normal, butt-rearward holster, because of the assistance of the body in placement of the hand on the pistol stocks.
If you encounter a threat, chances are there wont be time to docHub and find it. Whether its concealed inside or outside the waistband, your firearm will be discreetly within docHub. Drawing from across the torso can also be less obvious than docHubing for a gun on the strong side.
If youre looking for comfort, then carrying your gun in your waistband is probably the way to go. If youre looking for accessibility, then a shoulder holster might be a better option.
It is comfortable to carry cross-draw style if properly worn cinched tightly to the belt and carried just in front of the hip. And it may be concealed as well as a strong-side outside-the-waistband (OWB) if worn under a covering garment.
