Target markets for the FDX20 include energy generation and transmission, water/wastewater facilities, and traffic control technology, to name a few. The splice box is used in a control cabinet or room. The main purpose is to protect the long fiber optic cable runs. For example, when fiber is run to a remote location within a facility for the purpose of monitoring system performance. By doing all the termination in the splice box, the long fiber run is protected. Once terminated, the patch cables are then used to connect with equipment within the control room.
