hello and welcome to this excel tips video i am sumit bansal and in todayamp;#39;s video i am going to show you how to remove commas from numbers and text strings in excel so here i have this data and you can see there in these numbers there is a comma now in most cases the comma would be there because it is a part of the number formatting so for example here if i select this cell and i go to the formula tab you can see i donamp;#39;t see any comma here that is because there is no actual comma in the number it is only being displayed because it is part of the number formatting so all we need to do is to remove this comma just change the number formatting so here i would select all these cells i would go to the home tab here and within the number group i would click on the small dialog box launcher and when i do that it opens the format cells dialog box you can do the same thing by using the keyboard shortcut control one so select the cells hold the ctrl key and then press the one key
