Depending on a persons skin tone, dark circles can tend to have purple-ish or blue-ish hues. To conceal dark circles, the same color wheel principle applies. People with fairer skin may opt for yellow, peach, or pink colored concealers. Darker skin may benefit more from an orange shade.

Invest in a good concealer A good undereye concealer can give you complete coverage as well as make you look bright-eyed in seconds! Choose a shade lighter than your natural skin tone (as this will help brighten the area) but also opt for a peachy tone as this will counteract the blueish tinge of the shadows.
Apply concealer Apply the concealer directly to your under-eye area and blend, preferably with a brush or damp makeup sponge. Like your color corrector, apply it in a dot pattern under the eyes, and extend toward the temple for a lifting effect. A little goes a long way; too much can lead to creasing later in the day.
If you have a lot of brown around your eyes, use orange as brown is a mixture of all colors. If concealers turn ashen on you, its because they have too much pink in them and you need to use a peachy tone instead. Peach, or orange, covers cool-toned under-eye discoloration as you can see on the wheel.
