pages numbers and keynote are all part of iwork which is technically not even eyework anymore no one really calls it that anymore but iwork is an application that came with the mac that now can do word excel and powerpoints and itamp;#39;s appleamp;#39;s version of it that comes completely free with the machine back in the day that used to be 79 we actually even discounted a little bit more where office was about double the price and the idea was us trying to convince people that using pages was the best option the only thing i ever knew was word because back in the day thatamp;#39;s all your options really were i mean everyone used microsoft microsoft dominated the world especially windows 98 95 all you had was office why not do it why is there a point of doing anything else well thatamp;#39;s why i wanted to talk about it because i feel that pages is very underutilized as a word processing application in fact a lot of things that i have created in my life have all done with pages

Change the outline: In the Table Outline section of the sidebar, use the controls to change the line type, thickness, and color. Change the gridlines: In the Gridlines section of the sidebar, click the buttons to show or hide gridlines from the table body, from the header rows and columns, and from footer rows.
The Show/Hide button turns hidden characters like spaces, paragraph markers, or tab marks on and off. Go to File Options Display. button is turned on or off. Clear any check boxes for ones you dont want always displayed.
Show invisibles: Choose View Show Invisibles (from the View menu at the top of your screen). Note: The View button in the toolbar doesnt have this command. Hide invisibles: Choose View Hide Invisibles.
Open and close sidebars To close the sidebar, click the button of the active sidebar to close it. For example, if the formatting controls are visible, click Format to close the sidebar completely. You can also choose View Hide Inspector (from the View menu at the top of your screen).
The main control for display of non-printing characters is in Word Preferences - View. Make sure the box is checked for All with no checks in any of the other Show Non-Printing Characters boxes.
To mask an image with a shape, click the image to select it, choose Format Image Mask With Shape, then choose a shape.
Step 1: Open the Pages app. Then either create a new document or tap on any existing one. Step 3: Now, within the document, youll see a small words box at the bottom of your page. To show characters, simply click on the words box.
Enter special characters and symbols Click in the text where you want to place the character, then choose Edit Emoji Symbols (or press Control-Command-Space bar). The Character Viewer appears where you clicked. You can drag it to the desktop if you want to keep it open as you work.
