To prevent others from editing the header and footer, you need to protect the sheet. Go back to your Excel sheet, right-click on the sheet tab at the bottom, and select Protect Sheet. In the Protect Sheet dialog box, you can set a password and select the actions you want to allow users to perform.
Double-click any of the ribbon tabs or press CTRL+F1 to collapse the ribbon if you need to see more of your document. To see the ribbon again, just double-click any ribbon tab, or press CTRL+F1.
Select the cell below the rows and to the right of the columns you want to keep visible when you scroll. Select View Freeze Panes Freeze Panes.
If you want the row and column headers always visible when you scroll through your worksheet, you can lock the top row and/or first column. Tap View Freeze Panes, and then tap the option you need.
Tip: Press Ctrl+F1 to show and hide your commands in the Ribbon. Click Show Tabs to display the Ribbon tabs without the commands. To access the commands in the Show Tabs option, click any of the tabs. Click Auto-hide Ribbon to hide all tabs and commands.
