By setting the value of display to none, the element will be hidden and wont take up any space on the page. You can add this CSS code inside a tag in the section of your HTML document, or you can link an external CSS file using the tag.
By default, the HTML details tag has an arrow marker just before the summary text. This is to let the user know they can click on it to display the collapsed content. Depending on your page design you might want to remove this arrow.
Change the summary tag default arrow The summary has a default arrow (see above) which we are able to hide or change. To hide the arrow, we need to add none as the value to the list-style-type attribute.
The HTML element creates a disclosure widget in which information is visible only when the widget is toggled into an open state. A summary or label must be provided using the element.
The dropdown arrow icon in input can be hidden by setting the CSS appearance: none. The CSS appearance property allows to suppress the native appearance of an element (which may vary with operating system), so that CSS can be used to restyle it.
To remove the dots in an HTML list, you can use CSS and modify the list-style property of your list. This CSS rule sets the list-style property to none for all unordered lists ( ul tags). This will display the list items without the bullet dots.
The element supports the list-style shorthand property and its longhand properties, such as list-style-type , to change the disclosure triangle to whatever you choose (usually with list-style-image ). For example, we can remove the disclosure widget icon by setting list-style: none .
