Convert an estimate into an invoice Go to Bookkeeping then Transactions then select All Sales (Take me there), or go to Sales then select All Sales (Take me there). Find and open the estimate you want to convert. Check the status of the estimate under the customers name. Select the Create invoice button.
Can I add Multiple Estimates to an Existing Invoice? Yes, you can effortlessly add multiple estimates. However, the customer may need the particular invoice.
Though an estimate and invoice are created for the same project, an invoice contains a lot more information. Thus an estimate can not be directly used as an invoice.
The key difference between estimates and invoices is that estimates are not considered an amount owed by your customer, whereas an invoice is a formal statement of a balance due. Estimates generally are used at the start of a transaction.
Click on the Drafts tab, then click on the middle tile itself. NOTE: You can also consolidate an invoice by clicking on the Finals tab, then clicking on the middle tile. Or access it via the A/R tile. Check the boxes next to each invoice that you want to consolidate.
Progress invoicing lets you split an estimate into as many invoices as you need. Instead of asking for full payment at the beginning of a project, you can invoice customers for partial payments. As you complete work, add items from the initial estimate to progress invoices.
You can easily create batch invoices in QuickBooks Desktop Pro to give multiple, selected customers an invoice for the same products or services.
How do I consolidate multiple invoices into one invoice to send to a customer? Go to the first Invoice then put a check mark on the Print Later box at the upper middle portion of the screen of your invoice then click Save. Proceed to the the second invoice, put a check mark also on the Print Later box then Save.
