In Word: On the Edit menu, click Clear and then select Clear Formatting.
On the Excel menu, click Preferences. Select the Remove personal information from this file on save check box. Save the workbook.

How to clear all formatting in Excel Select the cell or range of cells from which you want to clear formatting. On the Home tab, in the Editing group, click the arrow next to the Clear button. Select the Clear Formats option.
Word examines the document, and then displays the results in a list. The second item in the list is Document Properties and Personal Information. To the right of Document Properties and Personal Information is a button labeled Remove All. Click that button. Next click Close then save your document.
Find the file whose properties you want to remove, and then select it. On the Home tab, tap or click the arrow under Properties, and then choose Remove properties. In the Remove Properties dialog box, do one of the following: Choose Create a copy with all possible properties removed, and then tap or click OK.
