Scroll down to the Editing options section. Uncheck the box next to Enable AutoComplete for cell values. Click OK to save the changes.
Follow these steps to delete a cell comment: First, select the cell where you want to delete the comment. Next, right-click on any selected cell. In the pop-up menu, click the Delete Comment command.
Click File Options. Click Advanced, and then under Editing options, select or clear the Enable AutoComplete for cell values check box to turn this option on or off.

Create a drop-down list In a new worksheet, type the entries you want to appear in your drop-down list. Select the cell in the worksheet where you want the drop-down list. Go to the Data tab on the Ribbon, and then Data Validation. On the Settings tab, in the Allow box, select List.
Click Options on the left. Its in smaller text, just above the red Exit button. In the new window that opens, click Advanced, on the left. Untick the box beside Enable AutoComplete for cell values.
Click the Microsoft Office Button, click Excel Options, and then click Advanced. In the Display area, click to clear the Show function ScreenTips check box.
