The DNS text (TXT) record lets a domain administrator enter text into the Domain Name System (DNS). The TXT record was originally intended as a place for human-readable notes. However, now it is also possible to put some machine-readable data into TXT records. One domain can have many TXT records.
If you no longer need a DNS record on your domain, you can delete it from your DNS zone file at any time. Deleting records will completely remove them from your zone file and they cant be recovered.
Once the TXT record is added, you need to have it verified by Google. To do this, navigate to the G Suite Admin tools then launch the verification step (see G Suite Admin Help). To delete a record, select it from the records list, then click the remove button.
TXT records are a type of Domain Name System (DNS) record in text format, which contain information about your domain. TXT records also have information that helps external network servers and services handle outgoing email from your domain.
Sign in to your Domain Control Panel. Scroll down to the TXT Records section and click the Delete icon. In the Delete TXT Record dialog, confirm that you really want to completely remove the record by clicking the Delete button. Youll be returned to the TXT Records page with the specified record removed.
Update an existing TXT record Sign in to your Domain Control Panel. Scroll down to the TXT Records section then click the Edit icon. In the Update TXT Record dialog, enter a new Hostname and/or Text value then click the Update button. Youll be returned to the TXT Records page with your updated record shown.
It might have been added automatically or as a default setting by your domain registrar or DNS provider. If you are not using this TXT record for any specific purpose, and its not required for any services or configurations, you should be safe to delete it.
