How to fix a blurry QR Code (4 easy-to-apply ideas) Use high-resolution images. The first step to avoid making your QR Code blurry is to use a high-resolution QR Code. Keep an eye on design. Keep your QR Code design simple. Check printing quality. Test your QR Code before deploying.
Buffer Zone: Include 1/16 inch of white space around the QR Code. Size: For direct mail, keep your QR Code between a inch and 1 inches for easy scanning and placement. Small URLs: Use a URL shortener to keep scanning time short.
Blurry QR codes can be caused by low printer resolution, using a low-quality QR code image, or lacking a clear margin around the code. To fix this, check your printer settings, use high-resolution images, and ensure a sufficient quiet zone around the QR code.
The size of the buffer zone is mathematically determined when the code is created to ensures an error free code. This buffer zone must be retained. Its simply a white space border and when you generate the code you will see that its part of the actual code image.
Hover under the download button next to your QR Code to reveal the three vertical dots. Select the dots and then select Delete.
A QR Code with a border refers to a border or a frame added to the outer edge of a QR Code. Adding a border helps separate the QR Code from other elements in a design. The border can also act as a place to add text below the QR Code such as Scan me.
Quiet zones for two-dimensional (2D) barcodes are calculated differently. The popular QR Code that is being used in marketing materials recommends a white space of 4 times the size of a module (that is the size of one of the black squares within the code) on all four sides of the code.
The quiet zone is the empty margin or space surrounding all four sides of the QR code that separates the barcode from other elements in the image. A quiet zone helps the QR reader accurately detect the QR codes presence. It also helps determine from where the QR code begins and ends.
