To change how dates are formatted, select Tools from the dropdown menu, then choose Options. From this window, select Names/Dates/Places and a format (such as Day Month Year) for both display and input formats. (Mac users: Select Preferences, then Dates/Names/Places.)

Go to your tree, find, and click on a duplicated person. In the opened card, click Profile. In the top-right corner of their profile page, click Tools and then choose Merge with duplicate. In the Person 2 column, select the duplicate person(s) we found or search for them in your tree.
Siblings are connected through their shared parent(s)full siblings through two parents and half-siblings through one parent. To add siblings to your tree, you must have at least one shared parent in your tree. Add at least one of the siblings parents to your tree.
Steps (website) In Family Tree, display a person page. If the Details section is not displayed, click Details. In the Research Help section, click a Possible Duplicate message. Click Review Merge. Decide if the records are about the same person. Decide what information to keep. Click Continue. Finish the merge:
After you have selected the group of individuals you want to delete, right-click one of the highlighted boxes, select Delete from File, then click Selected Persons from the menu that appears. The Delete Selected Persons window will appear, with the list of selected individuals displayed.
Include preparer information This option displays whatever you have entered as your User Information. This can be accessed through the Tools menu in the top left-hand area of Family Tree Maker.
