If ID.me was unable to verify your information, youll be able to complete the process through a video call. To start the video call verification process, click Verify Identity on a Video Call. Youll see an overview of the three steps youll take during this process. You can also view the list of documents eligible for upload on this screen. If youre not ready to upload documents, you can click Save and Return Later. Youll receive an email with a link to Complete your Identity Verification when youre ready. However, if youre ready now, select Get Started. Please take time to locate your documents. You will need to keep them on hand for the video call. First, confirm the personal information you previously entered, including your Social Security number. Now you must upload photos of your documents and a selfie. Can I delete my ID.me account and open a new one?

After your account is closed, you may use the same email address to create a new ID.me account or add that email to a different account you already have. None of the information from your previous account can be recovered.

How do I reset my ID.me account?

How to reset or change your ID.me password Visit ID.me sign-in page and select Forgot password. Go to the ID.me sign-in page and select Forgot password. Enter your account email address. Check your email and select Reset your password. Complete multi-factor authentication (MFA) Enter your new password.

How do I delete my duplicate ID.me account?

In the top menu of your account, select Sign In Security, then select Privacy. From the My Data Rights section, under Manage my data, select Remove my data. Select Close my account then select a reason for closing your account.

Can you create another ID.me account?

Note: Dont create an ID.me account if you already have one; its not possible to have more than one verified account. To connect third party accounts to your existing ID.me account: Sign in to your ID.me account. In the My Logins section, select Manage Logins.

How long does ID.me take to delete?

It can take up to seven days to delete your selfie and biometric information. Repeat the steps for deleting your selfie to check if your selfie has been removed.
