Delete files by size in Google Drive Log into your Google Drive account. Click Storage in the menu on the left side of the screen. The Storage page should list your files from largest to smallest, but if not, click Storage used on the right side of the screen. Click on the large files you want to delete to select them.
2 Free up space in Drive Find and remove large files: Find files and folders that you can delete using Drive search. Select the files that you want to delete and click Move to Trash . Click Trash and confirm that you want to delete the files. Click Empty Trash.
Delete a watermark Go to Insert. Watermark to open a panel on the right. You can also: Right-click the watermark. Click Select watermark. Below the watermark, click Edit watermark to open the panel. At the bottom of the panel, click Remove watermark .
Tips to format customize documents Use and create document templates. Create a newsletter. Create an automatic outline in Docs. Add and edit images. Add flowcharts and diagrams. Insert charts. Translate a document. Space table rows and columns evenly.
Click Format on the menu bar. Select Clear formatting.
Click Storage. Under Get your space back, click Free up account storage. Under Clean up suggested items or Clean up by service, click a category or service you want to review. Select the files to delete.
1. Remove Old Files Open Google Drive and click on the Last modified column to sort all files by date. Click on the Reverse selection arrow to show your oldest files first. Your subfolders will be shown first. Review the files and delete the ones you no longer need.
While Google Docs doesnt allow you to directly delete Version History, a common workaround is to make a copy of the document. The new document does not carry over the Version History from the original one, effectively eliminating any unwanted history.
