Hey, friends welcome to the YouTube channel ALL ABOUT ELECTRONICS. So in this video, we will learn about the asynchronous counters, which is also known as the Ripple Counters. So in the previous video of the counter, we have seen that, in the asynchronous counters, only one flip flop receives the clock signal. And the output of that flip flop is connected to the clock input of the next flip flop. So in this type of counter, basically the output transition in the flip flop acts as a clock signal for the next flip flop. So first of all, we will see that how to design the asynchronous binary counters. So as I said in the previous video, the output of the binary counter changes in the binary sequence. And we have seen that, there are two types of binary counters, that is up counter and the down counter. So as its name suggests this up counter counts from 0 to N. That is in the upward direction, while the down counter counts in the downward direction, that is

Clearing a bit Use the bitwise AND operator () to clear a bit. number = ~(1
Bit reset operation This means that you want to make a particular bit of a register 0 or reset it. We make use of the property of logical AND: x AND 0 = 0. So whatever be the value of x if you AND it with 0 the result is 0. This is what we wanted so bit reset is done by logical AND operation.
Bit positions in the binary representation are numbered from right (least docHub bit) to left (most docHub bit); the rightmost bit position is numbered 0.
Use the bitwise OR operator (|) to set a bit. number |= 1
Given a number n and a value k. From the right, set the kth bit in the binary representation of n. The position of LSB(or last bit) is 0, second last bit is 1 and so on. Also, 0
We can use the bitwise or operator to set a particular bit in a number to 1. We can use a combination of the and operator and an inverse mask to set any bit in a number to 0. The exclusive or operator is most often used to flip bits to their opposite state.
Set bits in a binary number is represented by 1. Whenever we calculate the binary number of an integer value then it is formed as the combination of 0s and 1s. So, the digit 1 is known as set bit in the terms of the computer.
