whatamp;#39;s up guys my name is Cal and today Iamp;#39;m going be showing you how to free up space on your max hard drive uh you may be running out of space the easy way to tell is just go to the Little Apple symbol in the top left corner click about this Mac and then go to the top storage uh Tab and you can see this here is your Macintosh HD hard drive uh with how many gigabytes you have and how many youamp;#39;ve been uh how many are free and what is being used now this is an easy way to tell what is being uh what is taking up the most amount of space you can see other is 720 gbes thatamp;#39;s pretty crazy um basically what other is is anything not classified as a movie app Audio Photo or backup so this includes documents um system files stuff like that um which can be kind of tricky to locate but Iamp;#39;m going to be showing you guys how to uh find an easy way to see what files are taking up the most space and then delete them so start off by going into finder um and just r

Clear Recent Items on your Mac via Apple menu Click the Apple logo in the menu bar. Choose Recent Items It shows a dropdown of documents and apps used recently. Scroll to the bottom. Click Clear Menu. Click the Apple logo Recent Items to make sure everything is cleared.
Clear the Recent Items menu On your Mac, choose Apple menu Recent Items Clear Menu.
Open a new Finder window and right-click Recents in the sidebar. In the menu that appears, select Remove from Sidebar. After performing these two steps, you wont see the Recents folder in your day-to-day activities anymore.

For easy access to these files, use the Finder feature on your Mac. Simultaneously, press Shift+CMD+Period (.) to hide the files.
Choose View Clean Up By, then choose an option, such as Date Created or Kind.
2. How to remove recent items from the Mac preview? In the menu bar, click the Apple logo. Select Recent Items. It displays a dropdown of recently used apps and documents. Press Clear Menu.
Set the date and time automatically on your Mac On your Mac, choose Apple menu System Settings, click General in the sidebar, then click Date Time on the right. Turn on Set time and date automatically, click Set, then enter a network time server for your region.
