You can check storage on Android from the Settings app. Android devices all have a bunch of stuff packed into the Settings appincluding storage settings. This is where you can see how much storage space is being used and what exactly is using it up, such as photos, videos, apps, and more.
How to Free Up Storage on Your Phone First, See What Youre Storing. Both Android and iOS make it easy to see exactly whats on your phone and how much space it takes up. Next, Optimize Your Storage. Move Your Files to an SD Card. Optimize Your Photos. Clear Your Cache. Delete Old Files. Pare Down Your Apps.
On an Android phone, when you select particular apps in the Storage settings section, youll usually get the option of clearing the cache or deleting all data. Clearing the cache removes temporary files, such as search history in YouTube or Chrome.
Performing a factory reset will erase all data on your Android phone. Go to Settings System Reset Factory data reset. Confirm the action and wait for the process to complete. This will remove all personal data, apps, and settings from the device.
Open the phones settings and go to storage. Then clear the cache memory. Next, open the gallery app and delete all photos and videos you dont need. After that, open the file manager app, and delete all files you no longer need.
What happens if you run out of storage? While you wont lose any of your files already stored, you wont be able to store anything new and you may stop being able to receive emails.
When your Android internal storage is full (or nearly full), you need to delete data to clear storage space. Clearing cached temporary files, videos, photos, and audio files frees up space in your Androids storage. You should also manage your apps and restrict background data usage to those apps you use most often.
For more info, get help from your device manufacturer. Clear cache: Deletes temporary data. Some apps may be slow the next time you open them. Clear storage: Permanently deletes all app data. Try to delete the data within the app first.
