Closed captions are a textual representation of the audio within a media file. They make video accessible to deaf and hard of hearing by providing a time-to-text track as a supplement to, or as a substitute for, the audio.
Punctuation and grammar guidelines Always use an Oxford comma when captioning a list. If there is a hesitation, stutter or pause, caption the hesitation. If there is a docHub pause, use an ellipsis. The TRS fund was established to support programs for Americans with disabilities related to telecommunications. Its funded by interstate telecommunications carriers and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) providers and is used to cover costs associated with captioning services.
ClearCaptions near real-time call captioning service is available at no cost to any U.S. resident whose hearing loss requires captions to use the phone. To receive ClearCaptions service, all you need is a high-speed internet connection. Currently, ClearCaptions is only available in English.
