Heres how to access the system cache files on Mac: Open Finder, click Go menu, and select Go to Folder. Type ~/Library/Caches/ in the window and click Go. Your system, or library, caches will appear. You can open each folder and delete unneeded cache files by dragging them to the Trash and emptying it.
If you have a MacBook older than 2018 or running Big Sur or an older macOS version, follow the steps below one by one. Step 1: Sign out from iCloud. Step 2: Sign out from iMessage. Reset NVRAM. Step 4: Boot into recovery mode. Step 5: Wipe Mac hard drive. Step 6: Reinstall macOS.
Choose Apple menu System Settings, then click General in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Click Transfer or Reset on the right, then click Erase All Contents and Settings.
If youre reinstalling on a Mac laptop, plug in the power adapter. Choose Apple menu Restart, then immediately press and hold Command-R.
