hi everyone welcome to my presentation how Google fonts created a specimen page for any type face uh my name is Tobias I lead the design for Google fonts Iamp;#39;m very excited to be back today at AI at my second a um after I joined the one in rikic in 2011 uh over 10 years ago so Iamp;#39;m very excited to be back uh and you know having the pleasure to present to you today um so weamp;#39;re going to talk about specimen Pages um and the new specimen pages that we created for Google funds uh a short while ago so going back a few years about a hundred years um this is the state-of-the-art for specimen Pages um this is uh a sample page for the accident tesque uh released by uh belal and Bower in 1912 um you know in print back then there wasnamp;#39;t any internet it wasnamp;#39;t for a long time uh but things has changed since then this is a more recent example of a specimen page uh created by gly type they do these amazing mini signs for their Ty faces this one is sort of
